one little suggestion: if you are to practice to a course and they don't use a particular book, and the teacher in charge askS you to present a grammar topic, DON'T DO IT WITHOUT A CONTEXT, i.e. FIND A TEXT THAT SUITS THE TOPIC BUT DON'T INTRODUCE THE GRAMMAR POINT BY MEANS OF ISOLATED SENTENCES!!!

homework for Tuesday 17th and Friday 20th

How to present grammar.
Find examples about grammar presentation inductively and deductively.

may be this can help you

how to teach vocabulary

These last classes you have been practising how to present and teach vocabulary, here you will find some pieces of advice:
Visual aids:
pictures should be clear, neat, easy to see and recognize, use light coloured card or board paper.
flashcards should be easy to be read, to be seen at the back of the classroom.
Repetition:
you should make your ss repeat everyword you intend to teach.
you can use the following steps:
choral
group repetition (by dividing the class in 2 or 3 big groups most of the time you should use the rows)
individual repetition
you can ask your ss to repeat as if they were: tigers, ants or like yelling or whispering.
you have to use body movements, use TPR.
Remember:
pictures should be away from your body
your voice should be clear and easy to be heard
check the pronunciation of everyword.

Have a look at the links below hope you find them useful

Revised Bloom's Taxonomy

In our las classes we've talking about Bloom and his Taxonomy, here I leave you a revised aspect of the Taxonomy. In it you'll find new contributions to "the thinking process" and to the way in which tasks or activities should be presented to our Ss.
Skim it and take good profit while reading.
